Robert took three hours to get home, though reports on this morning's Boston.com are that many people had it much worse. In fact, my boss had an eight-hour journey home and a wrecked car to show for it. But for now, the driveway's clean (two passes last night and a quick cleanup this morning) though quite slippery -- the storm last week left an impressive sheet of ice under all that pretty snow. The cats are doing their jobs; Koa is sleeping in her tiny tent and Theo is inspecting everything. He's already been on the kitchen counter and has been shooed off several times this morning. Eventually he'll get exhausted and go to sleep too. And I'm about to go do my job, which is to go swimming.
Life gets back to normal fairly quickly.
