monkey monkey man

The monkey men were here today! We had a fine old tree in the front yard that got sick. Rather than allowing it to fall on some hapless neighborhood kid, we decided to take it down; we'll probably replace it with something more ornamental and shorter this spring. On Sunday, our wood guy will come and split it for us. Then we can stack it in the back and wait for it to dry out. We'll use it next year to keep the home fires burning. Timber!!!

BTW, the sky really was this blue earlier today. I have done almost no post-processing on these pictures. I think I straightened the first picture and cropped the second. Other than that, these are straight out of the camera.
