Labels

Went to a store today and noticed two labels of note.

On a pair of magnifying glasses (for those of us with middle-aged eyes who need a little assistance seeing the printed word): the magnification in the teeniest numbers possible. Um, it would help to be wearing a pair of reading glasses to see the numbers, guys. Yes, that pair of glasses *inside* the case with those teeny weeny numbers on them.

On a pair of socks:
How to have fun with your socks: Use as a hand puppet to entertain your family and friends. Or better yet, place over your shoes and slide around.
Thank you, Joe Boxer.

Hi! Nice to talk to someone who lives in New England - I have friends in Wellesley which can't be too far away from you. Know what you mean about small print - trying to read any instructions these days is impossible. They are often printed in almost the same colour as the background and that doesn't help. Greetings from UK on a very very wet day.

Dear Weaver of Grass, I never officially welcomed you to the blaug -- I wasn't sure you'd want to stick around after arriving so serendipitously -- so welcome from across the pond. I am familiar with Wellesley. If you haven't been there, it has a bustling town center and a lovely women's college, very prototypically New England. And to further our similarities, we're due for some hurricane remnants today -- this is the season. So we will be seeing some wet weather ourselves a little later on. With best wishes.
