Cats have a reputation for cleanliness, for being pristine and smell-free. Their near-constant attention to hygiene yields fairly good results most of the time. In fact, I love burrowing my nose in their fur -- it usually smells so clean and fresh.
Enter one young kitten, one with a habit of drinking out of the toilet, a habit so severe that even I am learning to leave the toilet lid down. Now imagine that this animal wears a plastic lampshade for a few weeks, but has not allowed his habits to pause or even slow. Yes, the picture forms. Six am, a little brrowt, a thud on the bed, and then drip, drip, drip.
Next time, just tell me that it's dawn with your words, ok?
